TOURISM SALES & MARKETING CONSULTANCY

ABOUT SANDY
My name is Sandy Grosskreutz and I have  been employed within the tourism industry for a number of years working as a Director of Sales & Marketing and as an external Sales, Marketing & Communications Consultant for various Resorts both in Australia and Fiji. I have extensive related experience in developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies and has excellent communication skills and networking abilities.


I have been assisting clients to develop marketing and communications strategies for inbound tourism into Fiji. For example, a well established brand Resort in Fiji decided to increase their wedding and special interest groups and engaged my services to develop marketing and communication strategies to implement this. Once the sector was well established, a permanent position was created to continue this role. Another client was releasing a new invention into the Australian and Fijian commercial markets and enlisted my services to develop a communication and marketing strategy which resulted in her assistance to achieve some of their KPI’s. I have also worked for a developer in Fiji who is developing an entire precinct to Include 5 international hotels and resorts, retail space and a residential canal development, I was contracted to create their public relations and marketing campaigns.


These role’s have given me the chance to create excellent working relationships with a variety of industry stakeholders including domestic and international government tourism agencies, marketing specialists, hoteliers, wedding coordinators, wholesalers, OTA’s, domestic and international airline connections, all with high levels of understanding and insight into the travel industry and latest market trends and consumer demands.


All of the executive and consultancy roles I have held have required her to create business plans, monitor budgets and circulate regular reports to owners and the management team.

I hold a Graduate Diploma of Management and is currently set to complete a Masters of Business Administration (majoring in Marketing).  Sales & Marketing representation offered by Boutique Events:

SALES & MARKETING
• Create a Business Plan for the Resort to encompass the Australian market and other market segments as required.
• Set a sales strategy for the Resort incorporating campaigns in Australia and other market segments as required.
• Liase with General Manager and Reservations Manager to maximise market position of the resort on an ongoing basis.
• Assist (if required) in the development of rate strategies and positioning for the Resort.
• Prepare monthly sales and marketing reports reflecting sales activities, market performance and intelligence and  adjustments to the sales and marketing plan.
• Ensure expense for sales activities, promotions and functions stay within budgeted guidelines.
• Devise and implement a sales call program for the resort with regular follow up on effectiveness. Plan an appropriate response in accordance with market and business needs.
• Liase with Inbound specialists to maximise opportunities for the resort, ensuring constant market presence in agreed target markets.
• Investigate/follow-up on all major sales leads maintaining an effective trace system to convert potential business.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients for each market segment.
• Ensure participation in industry institutions with a view to maintaining relationships, securing business and obtaining relevant industry information.
• Explore opportunities for joint ventures with industry partners that produce viable sales revenue.
• Ensure appropriate familiarisations are organised to create awareness of Resort products and services.
• Liase regularly with airline partners to maximise mutual opportunities and regular product updates with reservation teams.
• Be aware of business peaks and troughs and drive innovative ideas that contribute to the revenue and profitability of the resort.
• Assist in the development of marketing material for use in the securing and implementing of all business.
• Develop and implement an information flow system which ensures all key participants are informed of resort promotions and initiatives.
• Advise resort operations of all sales account VIP’s to maximise recognition of key clients.
• Development of creative packages to stimulate business from the Australian market.


LEISURE MARKET
1. Wholesaler negotiation and updates
Available to conduct sales calls and product presentations to the reservations teams of your preferred wholesalers in Australia and to negotiate annual agreements.


2. Leisure Sales Calls
Available to conduct sales calls to travel agencies in Australia and/or provide breakfast seminars to launch new products to the major travel agency chains.


3. Travel Agency News
Set up and implement weekly or monthly electronic newsletter to travel agents withinAustralia promoting initiatives, packages and news.


4. Familiarisations
Available to conduct site inspections for the travel industry market and media.


5. Trade Shows
Provide representation at nominated trade/industry and public trade shows.


CORPORATE MARKET
1. Professional Conference Organisers and Incentive Houses
Develop and maintain a relationship with specific Conference & Incentive/PCO’s in key feeder areas of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.


2. Database Marketing
Market special initiatives including corporate retreats, incentive packages to extensive corporate database.


3. Corporate Companies
Sales representation to corporate companies promoting incentives and corporate retreats….. Depending on the level os sales representation required, Boutique Events can tailor a representation package to suite the individual company requirements.
